SUMMARY:Sweet Willow Community Garden Opening
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the opening of the Sweet Willow Community Garden (SWCG) on Saturday\, May 31st\, 2-4 pm at the garden at 31 Rochester Street. Many of you helped make this garden happen and we want to thank you! \n\n\n\nThis project of the Dalhousie Community Association (DCA) Public Realm Committee has been a labour of love. Over the past three years we planned and transformed this empty lot at the edge of LeBreton Flats.  This garden will grow into an oasis and community connector!  \n\n\n\nCome join in the festivities: \n\n\n\n\nSeeds & native/companion plants for edible gardens (Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library)\n\n\n\nSoil building & vermicomposting (The Box Of Life)\n\n\n\nCreating a bee-friendly garden (Bytown Bees) \n\n\n\n“Ask Me Anything” about being an urban\, climate resilient gardener.                    (Urban Gardening Canada)\n\n\n\nWhat is Hügelkultur? (SWCG)\n\n\n\nKids activities (SWCG & Friends)\n\n\n\nHow gardening connects the community (Frank St. Bee & Butterfly Garden) \n\n\n\n\nAnd…there will be music and yummy food bites by The Door/LaPorte Youth Centre\, who arealso gardeners at SWCG! \n\n\n\nWe welcome one and all to celebrate this innovative neighbourhood project!
